This 7-night Shrines of France Pilgrimage tour takes pilgrims to the places of most religious significance across France: from the grotto of Lourdes at the foot of the Pyrenees in the south of the country, to Rocamadour, Nevers, Lisieux and Paris.
Join us on this journey of spirituality and devotion as we travel the length of France, visiting the most special shrines of Catholic devotion.
Starting in Lourdes, the group will explore the Grotto and visit the places associated with the life of Saint Bernadette of Soubirous.
From Lourdes, we will travel to the spectacular monastic city in Rocamadour, perched on a clifftop, to visit the Church of the Black Madonna and the Miraculous Bell.
From Rocamadour, the group will travel to the Convent of Saint Gildard in Nevers to walk in the footsteps of Saint Bernadette in the convent gardens, attend Mass and see the saint’s resting place.
In Paris, the fascinating French capital, we will admire its iconic Notre Dame Cathedral, by the River Seine; and enjoy a panoramic tour of the city, visiting its most famous attractions including the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysees and the Louvre Museum.
Pilgrims will also visit the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal at the headquarters of the Daughters of Charity in Paris, followed by the opportunity to see the body of Saint Vincent de Paul at Maison-Mere.
The final stop for our Shrines of France Pilgrimage is Lisieux, where we will follow in the footsteps of Sainte Thérèse, visiting the places associated with her life and work, including Les Buissonnets and the Carmel Chapel, followed by Mass at the Basilica of Sainte-Thérèse de Lisieux.
The group will enjoy dedicated support of the Joe Walsh Tours guides and representatives throughout the pilgrimage. A detailed religious programme has been designed by the Joe Walsh Tours pilgrimages team and led by Spiritual Director.
