Join us on a week-long pilgrimage to Poland where we will get to explore wonderful Krakow and visit its most important shrines, including the Sanctuary of the Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki.

On a sightseeing tour of Krakow we will visit the city's most iconic sights such as Wawel Hill location of the Castle's Chambers and Cathedral, the wonderful UNESCO-listed Old Town, the famous Market Square and the Old Jewish District, where scenes of Schindler's List were filmed. 

We will also travel to the Salt Mine Museum in Wieliczka also a UNESCO World Heritage Site over 700 years old and featuring spectacular sculptures, chapels, chandeliers and event a ballroom all carved in salt.

Another must-visit while in Krakow is the Auschwitz and Birkenau Museum in Oswiecim, which educates visitors on the horrors of the war and the Holocaust. As part of our tour of this harrowing former concentration camp, we will visit the cell of St Maksymilian Kolbe (1894-1941), priest, friar and martyr canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1982. St Maksymilian Kolbe saved the life of one of his fellow prisoners at the camp by going volunteraly to the 'starvation cell' where he died.  

In the neigbourhood of Lagiewniki, where St Faustina lived, we will visit the Sanctuary of Divine Mary and have mass at one of the chapels, and we will also visit the St John Paul II Sanctuary.

DAY 1 – KRAKOW

On the first day of your Pilgrimage to Poland you will fly from Dublin to Krakow Airport where the group will be met by the tour director. 

We will take a 2 hour panoramic tour of the city, including a visit to St Mary's church, famous for its wooden altar. 

In the evening we will enjoy a welcome dinner.

DAY 2 – TOUR OF KRAKOW

After breakfast, the group will take a half day sightseeing tour of Krakow with a local guide. 

The tour takes approximately 3hrs 30 min and takes in the most beautiful sights in the city: Wawel Hill with the Castle's Chambers and Cathedral; the Old Town, Renaissance Cloth Hall at the Main Market Square (one of the largest in Europe), Jagiellonian University, Barbakan, Florian Gate and the Old Jewish District of Kazimierz. 

DAY 3 – WIELICZKA SALT MINES MUSEUM

After breakfast, we will travel to the Salt Mine Museum in Wieliczka, the only site in the world where mining has continued since the Middle Ages. The original mines stretch across nine levels and nearly 300kms! Today, up to 20 chambers can be visited on three levels, featuring beautiful sculptures carved in salt. 

After the visit ot the Salt Mines and Museum we will return to the hotel in Krakow and attend a private mass organised in one of the local churches.

DAY 4 – AUSCHWITZ AND BIRKENAU MUSEUM

After breakfast at the hotel, the group will take part in a private mass organised at one of the local churches.

DAY 5 – KRAKOW

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and a free day to explore Krakow at your leisure, a fantastic city. 

DAY 6 – LAGIEWNIKI     

After breakfast, we will visit the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki, where St Faustina lived and have a private mass at one of the chapels. We will then visit the St John Paul II Sanctuary. 

DAY 7 – KRAKOW 

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and a free day to explore Krakow.

DAY 8 – KRAKOW

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out. We will travel back to the airport for our flight back home.
