This Pilgrimage to Italy takes pilgrims to the town of San Giovanni Rotondo following in the footsteps of Padre Pio and Alba Adriatica on Italy’s Adriatic Coast for a few days of relaxation by the seaside.

In San Giovanni Rotondo, where you will stay for three nights and visit all the sites related to the life and work of Padre Pio, including the Capuchin Friary, the English Office, the Way of the Cross and the Old and New churches.

The group will also travel to Monte Sant’ Angelo and the cave shrine where the Archangel Michael appeared in the 5th century; the shrine has been an important pilgrimage site ever since, attracting many saints and popes among the pilgrims.

Other unique shrines and sanctuaries we will visit during this pilgrimage include Saint Matthew’s Monastery in the town of San Marco; Lanciano Sanctuary, where the first and greatest Eucharistic Miracle took place and the Shrine of the Holy House in Loreto where Mary lived at the time of the Annunciation.

We will then travel to the coastal town of Alba Adriatica, on Italy’s Adriatic Coast, where the group will enjoy a few days relaxing by the sea. The group will also visit St Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrow en route to Rome Airport for your flight back home.
