This pilgrimage to Italy takes pilgrims to Benevento and San Giovanni Rotondo, on the footsteps of Saint Padre Pio.

The pilgrimage includes visits to the Capuchin Friary, the English Office, the Way of the Cross, and the old and new churches, as well as Monte Sant’s Angelo.

A detailed religious programme has been organised by the pilgrimage experts at Joe Walsh Tours and led by the Spiritual Director.

Itinerary

• Direct flight from Dublin to Naples
• Transfer and tours in Italy by private coach
• 1 night Benevento, half board (including breakfast and dinner)
• 4 nights in San Giovanni Rotondo full board (including breakfast, lunch and dinner)
• Direct flight from Naples to Dublin
• Check-in assistance at airports

Day 1: 18th October Wednesday
The group will travel to Naples, then transfer to Benevento for hotel check-in and lunch. Mass in
Benevento Cathedral and visit Benevento before dinner in hotel overnight.

Day 2: 19th October Thursday
Visit in Pietrelcina and Piana Romana for Mass. Then time for lunch at your own expense. The
group will be transfered to hotel in San Giovanni Rotondo for check in Hotel and dinner.

Day 3: 20th October Friday
Full day in San Giovanni Rotondo: Mass and visit old and new shrine, the English office, Saint
Padre Pio remains.

Day 4: 21st October Saturday
Visit and Mass in Monte San Angelo, as well as visit to Saint Michael cave following a short visit to
the nearby shrine of Saint Matthew the Apostle.

Day 5: 22nd October Sunday
The group will have mass and visit the Way of the Cross. Then, free time to prepare an early
departure on Monday morning for Naple’s Airport.
If we have free time we will visit the hospital – Casa Sollievo Della Sofferenza, founded by Padre
Pio.
