South Africa

South Africa is a large, diverse and incredibly beautiful country, with spectacular scenery, excellent weather, friendly people and great value for money. From the rugged coastline of Cape Town to the ferocious beasts of Kruger National Park it has something to offer everyone and with no jet lag to worry about it is no surprise that South Africa is known as 'A World in One Country'.

South Africa is world renowned for its excellent safari’s, featuring the famous “Big Five” - Lion, Rhino, Elephant, Leopard and Buffalo, as well as a variety of other equally awe-inspiring indigenous wildlife. Wildlife spotting is at its best during their winter months (May – August) when lack of rain causes the wildlife to congregate around waterholes and the bush is less dense, making them easier to spot.

Choose from a variety of wildlife experiences ranging from the most luxurious Private Game Reserves featuring exciting game drives with your own experienced ranger sharing his knowledge of the native beasts and the history of the landscape. Or take a self-drive exploration through Kruger National Park, explore at your own pace and keep your eyes peeled for the awesome sight of a creature in full flight.

The 'rainbow' nation offers so much variety and Joe Walsh Tours can offer you endless opportunities to experience this diverse destination. Let our experienced travel consultants recommend your ideal itinerary.
